The choir and Symphonic Orchestra of Opera Ballet Flanders, conducted by Alejo Pérez, projected us into paradisiacal places in a packed St. Bavo Cathedral with Fauré's poignant Requiem. A penetrating performance that made the masterpiece soar even more weightlessly into heaven thanks to the voices of Shira Patchornik and Marcel Brunner.
