Morning Dew

Garden of Karmelietenklooster

The exceptional circumstances of this edition have also resulted in new concepts. On Sunday morning 20 September, Flanders Festival Ghent invites you to Morning Dew: intimate concerts at sunrise in the idyllic surroundings of the Carmelite monastery in the heart of Ghent. The musicians of Casco Phil deliver a series of subtle musical ‘dewdrops’, from Bach to Dvořák to Britten.

To make the start of the day even more perfect, after the concert we’re offering a delicious picnic. Together with Coeur Catering we’ve put together a heavenly breakfast box with fresh fruit salad, a delectable range of viennoiserie, scrumptious savoury salads and many more delicious surprises. Book your breakfast box separately from your concert ticket!

Anyone who has missed Morning Dew on Sunday morning can also revitalise themselves in the peaceful and beautiful surroundings of the Monastery garden in the heart of Ghent. At Afternoon Delight, accordionist, bandoneon player, arranger and composer Gwen Cresens and the members of his new quartet take to the stage offering musical refreshment.
