12.09 OdeGand
Saturday, Ghent didn't stand still. OdeGand took over the city.
With De Opstand van de Gevels, Ghent literally started moving. Under the City Hall, the Symphonic Mob® swelled into one huge orchestra. Meanwhile, thousands of people went En Route, taking in Almaghoot Quintet, Ensemble Théodora & Hasnaa Bennani, Heinali & Andriana-Yaroslava Saienko, Omar Hayat, Or Sebastian, Théo Ould Sextet, Valentina Tóth, and the Zeeuws Orkest. Arabic jazz, Ukrainian voices and electronics, Gnawa, baroque, cabaret, queer polyphony, Dvořák. The city was constantly shifting frequencies.
In the evening, we landed at the Wintercircus. HIIIT, Percussions de Strasbourg, and Zeno van den Broek’s robot percussion sent human and machine into the night together.
Ghent at full resonance.
PLEASE DISTURB.
