Accessibility

Accessibility Flanders Festival Ghent

At Flanders Festival Ghent, we want everyone to feel welcome and able to enjoy the festival comfortably. Our concerts, performances and events take place at a variety of venues across Ghent, each with its own accessibility features. We therefore recommend checking the concert page in advance, where you’ll find practical information about the venue and accessibility.

With every edition of the festival, we continue working towards a more accessible and inclusive experience for visitors with visible and non-visible disabilities.

European Disability Card

Upon presentation of a European Disability Card (EDC), you may bring a companion to the performance free of charge. The EDC confirms that you are officially recognised as having a disability, including non-visible disabilities. Don’t have an EDC yet? Apply for your free card here.

Reserve your ticket and your companion’s ticket directly via toegankelijkheid@festival.be.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Our concerts and performances are wheelchair accessible, though facilities may vary from venue to venue. If you use a wheelchair, please email us at toegankelijkheid@festival.be after purchasing your ticket. This allows our team to prepare your visit and reserve suitable accessible seating.

Assistance Dogs Welcome

Would you like to attend a concert with an assistance dog? Please let us know when booking your tickets or contact us via toegankelijkheid@festival.be, so we can take this into account when assigning seating.

Additional Assistance

Do you require additional or specific support? Please don’t hesitate to contact us via toegankelijkheid@festival.be.

During concerts, our staff are also happy to assist you with any questions or practical support, for example helping you find your seat or the nearest restroom.

Questions or Suggestions?

Do you have questions or suggestions regarding accessibility? We’d love to hear your feedback and learn how we can continue improving the festival experience via toegankelijkheid@festival.be.
